Ann Arbor Triathlon Club

If you're racing in the Ann Arbor Triathlon on Sunday (or if you're a spectator), stop by the Ann Arbor Tri Club tent.  We'll have free, cold
beverages, a place to congregate, and (heaven forbid!) a place to huddle together if it rains.  If we have enough volunteers, we'll have
a club representative in the tent for the duration and you will be welcome to store your valuables there as well.

A New Way of Doing Business
The board met last night (June 8) and had a great
meeting.  As you know, Emilie Tullis--our previous president--has moved
to Colorado and Jon Woodard--our webmaster among other things--is also
moving.  Given this, we met to figure out who will be taking over the
various responsibilities.  Traditionally, the president has been the
'workhorse' of the club with a lot of responsibilities piled on her

Insanity is a relative term.  Most people would think that signing up for an Olympic distance triathlon in May in the Midwest is insane because lake temperatures are almost always frigid.  This year, eager for an early season race, I gambled with fate and signed up for the Pokagon Triathlon on May 22, 2010.  I enrolled in early May during a spate of unseasonably warm temperatures and it seemed like an easy bet that the clement weather would continue and the lake temperatures would quickly warm.  Shortly after signing up for the race, though, the weather turned cold and stayed that way for t

I heard about the Traverse City Triathlon from a friend of mine last week and signed up just before the online registration deadline Thursday night.  Sadly, this meant that I missed out on the great TC Tri t-shirts that were included in the early bird race packets.  Sigh.  Next year I'll make sure to sign up on time...
