10th Annual AATC Kids’ Triathlon - POSTPONED

(formerly Saline Kids’ Triathlon)

Previous years’ race results

The 10th Annual Kids’ Triathlon hosted by the Ann Arbor Triathlon Club and scheduled for June 22, 2008 on the grounds of the Saline High School has been postponed. This year’s event will be combined with the 19th Annual Sylvania SuperKids Triathlon/Duathlon scheduled for August 9, 2008 at Olander Park in Sylvania, Ohio. For more information and registration please visit

www.eliteendeavors.com/race_superkids.htm

Registration for the June 22, 2008 Kids’ Tri has been closed and all kids who have registered for this event will be allowed to transfer their entry to the Sylvania SuperKids Triathlon/Duathlon at no additional cost or have their entry fee refunded.

Why has the Ann Arbor event been postponed and combined with the 19th Annual Sylvania SuperKids event?

The Sylvania SuperKids event is one of the oldest and best kid events in the country. The Ann Arbor Triathlon Club, host of the Ann Arbor Kids’ Triathlon, now has the opportunity to grow its local Kids’ Tri into a SuperKids event with its partner, Elite Endeavors, and the Toledo Triathlon Club. Although the events will be combined into one event this year – on the same weekend as the prestigious Sylvania Olympic distance Triathlon/Duathlon - the plan is to have a SuperKids Ann Arbor and Sylvania Series beginning in 2009 to better meet the needs and interests of kids and their families. Our mission will remain the same – to promote life-time fitness, healthy competition, positive life-styles and support the Trails’ Edge Camp for medically fragile children. We hope you will join us in Sylvania this year and participate in the series next year.

Thanks for your support,

Michael Wendorf
Race Director

Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, and affordable event for kids up to 14 years old. All proceeds are donated to the Trail's Edge Camp, a non-profit organization for ventilator-dependent children (located in Mayville, MI and affiliated with the University of Michigan). The Ann Arbor Tri Club Kids' Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned event.

The run course exits the bicycle transition area and includes a run around the high school track that circles the football field. The entire run course is closed to all any vehicle traffic, fully marshalled, flat and fast.
