Здравствуйте участники,

I'm sending the e-mail out a bit early this week because I want to make
sure you have a chance to actually read it before the brick (I know, I
know, not all of you are glued to your i-phone/crackberry like I am.)
So here's the good word for this week.

Ann Arbor Tri: The Ann Arbor Triathlon is this Sunday at Half
Moon Lake. I am sure many of you are racing, so I just want you to know
that the Tri Club has your back. We will again be setting up our tent
adjacent to the finish line, complete with extra tubes, nutrition,
etc., our Sponsorship Coordinator/resident wrench, Dave Vannette,
deeply discounted club apparel, and more. Friends and family coming to
watch the race are welcome to hang out, as well. Be sure to swing by to check it out. Also, this is a great race to observe if you are thinking
about doing a race, but want to know what it's all about.
Good luck to all of the racers, and thank you to the bike course volunteers.

MERCRS:
Registration for Batavia is closed, so hopefully those able
to go are already registered. Please let me know if you are attending,
and if you have any interest in carpooling.

Race Reports: There is a whole section of the website dedicated
to these, yet we only have one for this year (I am guilty, as well, for
not submitting any.) Please send them my way, so others can take a look.

And now, workouts:
Thursday, 4 June
Brick
- It's the first brick of the
month, and that means it's time for some grilling and chilling. Julie
has graciously offered up her house (that's right, I will not be
subjecting you to Platt again.) Please meet by 6:00 at the corner of
Ravine Ct and Parkside Dr (see map of route and starting location here.) Ride is roughly 21 miles; run will be in Matthaei for however long you feel like going.
Feel free to bring food, adult beverages, and whatever else.

Friday, 5 June
Swim and Run-
Honestly, the water is not
that cold. Swimming on Friday at Silver Lake. Meet at 6:30 by the
picnic tables close to the second parking lot. Swim course is around
400-500m out and back (the actual distance is a thing of great debate;
maybe Mike Fitz will come out with his fancy GPS doo-dad and settle it
once and for all.) Did I mention wetsuits? You might want to bring
them. Also, bring your running shoes, and try your luck against the
world-famous Pinckney deer flies. You better run fast, or they'll
getcha.

Saturday, 6 June
Morning Run Sponsored by Running Fit

- Club partner, Running Fit, sponsors a 6-8 mile run starting promptly
at 9:03 a.m. out of Gallup Park. Meet at the picnic tables in the
second parking lot (over the bridge.) If you have any questions about
weather, distance, etc., please contact our dashing workout
coordinator, Sean (seangeary@yahoo.com.)
Running
Fit offers perks for showing up weekly, starting with a free water
bottle after 6 runs and working up to a free tech shirt after 18.

Sunday, 7 June
Outdoor Ride

- No formal ride this week, on account of Ann Arbor Tri. Feel free to plan
amongst yourselves. I have a four hour ride scheduled for Saturday around 18-19 mph, if anyone is interested.

Tuesday, 9 June
Tuesday Night Track Club Workout
- Partake in the Track Club's speed
workout at the U of M outdoor track on State. Warm-up starts at 6:30, and workout
starts at 7:00. This week - TRACK MEET: 1600 m, 400 m, 800 m, 3200 m, 200 m, 1600 m relay.
Workout is free to Track Club members (the Track Club does ask that you be a member, since dues help pay for the track time.)

That's all for now. If you have any rants or raves, let me know.
