Educational Clinic: Heart Rate and Power Zones by Michael Parker 

Michael is a Master of Science in exercise physiology. He worked as a graduate assistant in the EMU Running Science Lab and has taught undergraduate exercise physiology labs and focused his research on running economy. Additionally, he is employed by the University of Michigan in the Physical Activity Lab as a research assistant in cancer and obesity research. Michael started training for triathlons in 2005. Since then he has competed in several triathlons and is a 2x Ironman and 2x Boston Marathon Finisher. Michael Parker and his wife Chrissy Parker established Parker Performance Training and serve as triathlon and personal training coaches to several of our current members along with several individuals of the Ann Arbor athletic community.

Please join us on Wednesday Dec 20th at 6pm at Fraser Bicycle in Ann Arbor for an Educational Session.  Michael will be breaking it down to the basics! He will give a detailed discussion about the importance of heart rate training including how to establish your zones along with the importance of power training and how to combine the both to optimize your training and conditioning. 

Not only will you be learning more to help power yourself into the new year, you will also benefit from the private shopping event at Fraser. On the 20th we will have a 20% discount on all in store merchandise and parts (excluding clearance items and bikes).  A representative from Garmin and Pioneer Power Meters will also be present for questions regarding their products (stay tuned for possible special pricing) AND the Ann Arbor Tri Club will be raffling off 2 FREE 1 year memberships to Training Peaks!!
